For the shopping adventurer you won’t want to miss Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge. Its recent renovation in 2004 and 2005 marked its 20th anniversary. It is one of the largest shopping malls in the Washington D.C. area with countless fine shops, boutiques, restaurants, and department stores. Additionally, if you need a quick haircut or groceries stop by the Market at Opitz Crossing where many retail establishments, service oriented businesses, and a grocery store make their home in Woodbridge.
For the fitness fanatic in your family or the nature lover there are many Woodbridge parks worth exploring. Those that enjoy swimming for recreation or fitness should visit the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center, Hammill Mill Park, or Veterans Memorial Park. Two of the most incredible parks in Woodbridge are certainly Prince William County Stadium Complex as well as Veterans Memorial Park.
Prince William County Stadium Complex is home to the Potomac Nationals, a minor league baseball team. The complex has a 6,000 seat stadium, concession stands, and also hosts BMX shows. Veterans Memorial Park is one of the neatest parks in all of Prince William County. It provides a myriad of recreational facilities for all residents to take advantage of year-round including a Skate Park, swimming pool with slides, and a community center. Additionally, Veterans Memorial Park has many athletic fields, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, picnic pavilions perfect for family reunions, hiking trails, horseshoe pits, and an open play area. No matter what your family enjoys, you will find it at Veterans Memorial Park.
Additionally, you will find two golf courses in Woodbridge including The Ospreys Golf Club at Belmont Bay as well as Lake Ridge Marina and Golf Course. The Ospreys Golf Club at Belmont Bay is a public golf course offering a great golfing experience along the river. Situated perfectly along the upper Occoquan Reservoir, Lake Ridge Marina and Golf Course not only offers an incredible golfing experience among a 9-hole course but a mini-golf course and playground for the youngsters, hiking trails, and fishing and boating in the Marina. There is plenty to keep your family busy and entertained all day long!
